How to arrive to Isabela Island

From the cities of Quito and Guayaquil it is possible to take a flight to the airport of Isla Baltra, three airlines make the trip, TAME, AEROGAL and LAN. From the airport a bus from the airline takes you to the Itabaca canal where a ferry transfers you to Santa Cruz Island, from there, a bus makes a 40-minute trip to the pier in Puerto Ayora. Once there, a speed boat will take you to Puerto Villamil on Isabela Island in an approximate 2 hour trip, from the pier it is possible to take an open bus called "chiva" or a taxi (double cab van) to Hostal Tintorera. There are also flights between Baltra, Isabela and San Cristobal in airplanes of 8 passengers.
