Sierra Negra Volcano
This tour, walking or riding, takes you to the Sierra Negra Volcano, you can observe the 2nd largest crater in the world that also erupted in 2005and some extraordinary lunar landscapes close to the Volcano Chico. You need a guide for this excursion. A short walk from the centre of the town passing by various lagoons you can reach the breeding centre. Tehre are giant tortoises of all ages. You learn about the breeding process and rehabilitation into their natural environment. The tortoises are an emblem of the Galapagos Island and Isabela Island is the only one with 5 different species.
